Akuapem North member of parliament, Sammi Awuku, has solved a mathematical problem put out by Kennedy Agyapong, which urged his opponents to find X.
It will be recalled that Kennedy Agyapong, while campaigning in the Western North region, introduced what appears to be a new campaign formula, challenging his opponents to solve a mathematical problem by finding X.
His formula also questioned the validity of the “Aka 9 pe” slogan, which suggests the NPP needs only 9% more votes to win the 2028 election.
“Mahama lost with a vote of 1m but it took him 8 years. If 1 million vote deficit is 8 years so if someone lost by 1.7 million votes then it’s if 1m=8years then 1.7million is =X therefore find X,” he stated.
But speaking on Accra-based Kessben FM, Sammi Awuku who plays an instrumental role in Dr Mahamudu Bawumia’s campaign indicated that X will be president in 2028.
“Now Algebra and Calculus have been introduced on the campaign so we will work the calculation. I won’t fault him because that is his campaign and in a campaign you throw shots. What it shouldn’t degenerate into is personal attacks,” he said.
He continued, “he said John Mahama went home with 1 million deficit and it took him eight years to come back and Dr Bawumia went home with 1.7 million so if one million is equal to eight years then 1.7 million will be equal to X so find X and that is a fair shot at the Bawumia campaign. This is not an attack, which we will say is personal. The Bawumia camp must respond and say, “Yes, we accept the algebra campaign but we disagree with you on that.
That X you are talking about it was Mahama and Akufo-Addo. In 2016, Mahama had been president, he was facing Akufo-Addo the second time. Mind you, Akufo-Addo faced Mills 2008, Mahama 2012 and 2016 faced Mahama. Now, Mahama faces Bawumia, Bawumia faces Mahama for the first time. Bawumia won’t face Mahama in 2028 it is up to the NDC to bring a candidate to face Bawumia who will be second time appearing on the ballot. We have found X and the truth of the matter is that X is going to be president in 2028. Anybody who took the ballot paper in 2024 was seeing Mahama’s face for the fourth time in 2012, 2016, 2020 and 2024. Anybody who took the ballot paper in 2016 was seeing Nana Addo’s face for the third time. So there is wisdom in consistency,” he explained.
