Former BOST MD was arrested at the airport on Monday

Former Managing Director for the Bulk Oil Storage and Transportation Company (BOST), Edwin Provencal has been arrested.
According to reports, he was arrested by the Economic and Organized Crime Offie (EOCO) at the airport on Monday November 10, 2025 while preparing to board a flight to Maputo for an engagement.
It is not clear why he was arrested, however, reports links his arrest to the rot in the gold for oil programme introduced by the previous government.
Edwin Provençal is said to have been placed on stop list on October 8,2025 an order he had no knowledge of.
Disclosing the arrest and detention on Accra-based Adam FM, former General Secretary of the opposition New Patriotic Party called for due process to be followed in the fight against corruption.
“We in the NPP are not saying that when people are found culpable in a crime, they shouldn’t face the law. But due process must be followed,” he said.
He used the opportunity to condemn the move to link people’s greed to the NPP.
“If someone is accused of stealing or embezzling funds, they did not bring it to the NPP or finance the party, so far as I am concerned,” he noted.
Adding “Maybe they financed their constituencies or a candidate, but not the day-to-day running of the party.”
