You need to show up for yourself first

Nollywood actress Judy Austin has encouraged young people to prioritize self-growth before committing to relationships or marriage.
“You can’t trust anybody except yourself and God,” she said. “You need to show up for yourself before you expect any other person to show up for you. Learn, work, grow, and build the resilience you need.”
Judy spoke directly about the dangers of entering relationships prematurely, particularly for young women pressured by pregnancy.
She urged viewers to reflect on whether they can genuinely commit to their partners long-term.
“The first question you should ask yourself is, can I spend the rest of my life with this guy? Grow with him? Build a life with him? If you can’t, wait.”
The actress also encouraged spiritual readiness, advising young women to pray for the right partner when they are truly prepared.
“When you’re ready, pray and ask God to give you that one person He created for you,” she said. “That way, even if things don’t work out perfectly, you will have no regrets.”
