Lawyer demands retraction of defamatory posts against Ekow Assafuah

A lawyer representing of Hon. Vincent Ekow Assafuah has warned four social media users over what he describes as “false and defamatory statements” made against his client.
In a letter dated November 13, 2025, and signed by Stephen Nsiah Opoku Esq., Senior Associate at Kulendi@Law, the individuals, Onasis Rosely, Ahema Afriyie, Francis Papa Adjetey, and Joyce (Honourable Dee Dee), were given a 12-hour ultimatum to retract their statements and issue an apology.
“My client’s attention has been drawn to reckless defamatory statements published by you on social media,” the lawyer wrote. “You sought to tarnish my client’s hard-earned reputation through false narratives intended to cause disaffection against him.”

The letter added that Hon. Assafuah had “never personally encountered the said woman” mentioned in the viral posts and dismissed the claims as “baseless and malicious.”
Mr. Opoku further warned that failure to comply would lead to legal action.
“My client gives you twelve (12) hours to retract the defamatory statements and render an unqualified apology. Failing which, we shall recover from you punitive and compensatory damages,” he stated.
The lawyer stressed that his client was “highly aghast” at the publications and would use all lawful means to protect his reputation.
