How Ghc 30,000 got missing from Daddy Lumba’s funeral account

It has emerged that an amount of Ghc 30,000 went missing from the bank account for Daddy Lumba’s funeral.

Oheneba Adjei, who speaks for the funeral committee, explained while speaking on Accra-based UTV that the amount of money was taken from the account by Daddy Lumba’s Abusuapanin.

He says when Abusuapanin was confronted, Oheneba Adjeu explained that his excuse for taking the money was frivolous.

“Abusuapanin was contacted by Nana to account for the money he had taken from the account. He was not forthcoming, and that really upset Nana. There was a confrontation between them, and Abuasuapanin disrespected Nana. We woke up, and the conversation between them was all over the media. Abusuapanin apologized and also insisted that he is not the one who leaked their conversation,” he explained.

He continued further, saying, “He explained what he used the GHC 30,000 for, but Nana did not accept it. He said he used the GHC 30,000 to settle debts incurred when they went to Manhyia. Nana said that should not be the case, and he expects that the amount be returned. We will sit on the matter on Monday and ensure that the money he took will be returned to the account. You can’t use someone’s funeral money to settle your personal debt,” he said.
