Edwin Provencal’s bail reduced to GHC30m

Reports in the local media suggest that the bail conditions for the former managing director of the Bulk Oil Storage and Transportation Company Limited (BOST), Edwin Provencal, have been varied.

MyNewsGh.com had reported earlier that Edwin Provencal had been granted Ghc 60 million bail.

However, Charles Okyere, who represents the embattled former managing director, has disclosed that his bail has been reduced.

He said his client has been charged with causing financial loss to the state, but there is no evidence to back the claim.

“EOCO is purportedly investigating him for causing financial loss. It’s a very detailed matter. The supposed financial loss itself has not even occurred. There’s no loss at the moment. So, you cannot be investigating somebody or charging somebody for a crime that has not been committed,” he said.

Edwin Provencal was arrested at the Kotoka International Airport on November 10, 2025, when he was making a trip to Maputo.
