Vice President pushes for mutually beneficial clean-energy collaboration with Portage Energy

Vice President Jane Opoku-Agyemang says Ghana is opening its doors to genuine and transparent partnerships as the country explores cleaner and more efficient ways to manage waste.

In a social media post sighted by MyNewsGh, she disclosed that she met with Portage Energy, a clean-energy company working on sustainable waste management technologies, waste-to-energy systems, and the production of Sustainable Aviation Fuel.

According to her, the meeting centered on how Ghana can benefit from Portage Energy’s innovative solutions.

“Our discussions focused on the potential for a partnership that supports Ghana’s commitment to responsible waste management,” she stated.

The Vice President stressed that Ghana is not seeking superficial engagements but meaningful cooperation.

“I stated that in this current political and economic environment, what Ghana seeks are true, transparent, and mutually beneficial partnerships and collaborations that advance national development while creating real value for our people.”

She added that further discussions will continue as government evaluates opportunities for collaboration.

“We look forward to continued engagements as we explore pathways for collaboration that serve the national interest,” she said.
