The man seen in the viral video on social media assaulting his wife has been remanded to police custody.
A statement from the police said he is expected to reappear before the Migistrate Court at the Domestic Violence and Victims Support Unit of the Ghana Police Service.
John Odartey Lamptey has been charged with Physical Assault contrary to Sections 1 (b) (I) and 3 (2) of the Domestic Violence Act 2007.
Two others Louis Odartey Lamptey and Kushie Lamptey have also been charged with conspiracy to commit a crime after they attempted to attack the female tenant who is believed to have recorded the video.
Meanwhile, the Police is on the hunt for the victim who has since absconded.
