Interior Minister renews curfew in Bole and Sawla-Tuna-Kalba

The Minister for the Interior, Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak, has renewed the curfew for Bole Township and surrounding communities in the Savannah Region.

The directive, effective Wednesday, November 19, 2025, maintains the restriction from 12:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m.

The renewal follows advice from the Regional Security Council and was issued by Executive Instrument.

In the accompanying statement, the Minister appealed to traditional leaders, youth, and residents to remain calm and address ongoing concerns through non-violent channels.

Authorities also outlined key restrictions for the area, including a total ban on firearms, ammunition, and offensive weapons, with offenders to be arrested and prosecuted.

Residents are further prohibited from riding in pairs or groups on motorbikes and from wearing war regalia at any time.

The Interior Minister has issued a similar renewal for Sawla-Tuna-Kalba Township and its environs, maintaining the same curfew hours.
