Ambulance service probes viral TikTok incident

The National Ambulance Service (NAS) has initiated an immediate investigation into a viral TikTok video featuring a trainer and a recruit at the National Ambulance Training School in Nkenkaasu.
In a statement signed by Deputy Director of Public Relations, Simmons Yussif Kewura, the Service said management was “deeply disturbed by the actions depicted in the video.”
“We strongly condemn any form of bullying, harassment, or discriminatory behavior,” the statement said.
“NAS added that disciplinary action would be taken if the allegations are confirmed. “We are investigating the incident and will take immediate disciplinary action against Philip Kwame Twumasi if found guilty of the allegations.”
The Service stressed that the safety of its trainees remains its highest concern. “The safety and well-being of our recruits is our top priority,” NAS stated.
The Service also reaffirmed its commitment to professionalism, noting, “NAS is committed to maintaining a culture of respect, inclusivity, and professionalism, and we will not tolerate any behavior that undermines this.”
Management assured the public that the matter is receiving urgent attention and promised to provide further updates as the investigation continues.
