Okada riders help Oliver Baker-Vormawor secure robbery suspect in Achimota

Oliver Barker-Vormawor has expressed gratitude to local motorcycle taxi riders for their assistance in securing the arrest of a robbery suspect in Achimota.
Oliver Barker-Vormawor shared the new update saying, “My firm recently took on the representation of over 50 Okada drivers who were arrested by the Police.
“We are representing them pro bono. Just this afternoon, I got this message from one of my lawyers; ‘Good afternoon sir. Some of our okada riders saw your post on the robbery on Facebook.
“They’ve managed to mobilise their underground networks to get a suspect arrested by the Achimota Police. They handed him over to one Inspector Sarkodie, whose number is …’”
He continued, “I don’t know what will come out of this. But I just want the world to know that my heart is full! Help people! It doesn’t matter how hard it is! Always help people.
“I may never become as rich as some of my friends in politics. But I will never lack in the resources of love and care from different communities of people that our political system leaves behind! I thank the streets for their care!”
The development follows an incident on November 20, 2025, when Barker-Vormawor revealed he had been robbed near the Achimota overhead bridge. Stolen items included his laptop, mobile phones, cash, and other valuables.
Barker-Vormawor’s lawyers confirmed the message from the Okada riders, writing: “Some of our Okada riders saw your post on the robbery on Facebook.
“They’ve managed to mobilise their underground networks to get a suspect arrested by the Achimota Police. They handed him over to one Inspector Sarkodie.”
