Daddy Lumba fathered 17 children out of wedlock

Daddy Lumba, the late highlife musician Charles Kwadwo Fosuh, reportedly fathered 17 children out of wedlock, the Kumasi High Court has been told.
Akosua Serwaa Fosuh is seeking a court order to be recognised as the late musician’s only surviving wife and the sole performer of widowhood rites at his funeral.
She also wants Lumba’s alleged side chic, Priscilla Ofori, also known as Odo Broni, restrained from presenting herself as Daddy Lumba’s wife.
During proceedings, Abusuapanin Kofi Owusu, head of the Parkoso Ekuona family, presented a letter allegedly written on Serwaa Fosuh’s instructions.
The letter claims Daddy Lumba had been married to Akosua Serwaa Fosuh for 34 years, with three children from the union.
It further alleges that the musician deserted his matrimonial home for five years to marry another woman publicly, fathering 17 children with other mistresses.
The letter describes Daddy Lumba as abusive, alleging repeated physical and psychological harm toward Serwaa Fosuh, who reportedly endured the treatment for the sake of their children.
Abusuapanin Owusu confirmed he saw the letter at a family meeting, but could not verify whether any legal action was taken afterwards orthe details of a property settlement. Conflicting accounts were also presented regarding the musician’s attendance at family events.
The authenticity of the letter is disputed by Serwaa Fosuh, who denies authorising it, while Abusuapanin Owusu maintains it is genuine.
The hearing is set to resume on Monday, November 24, 2025.
