Staff of the telecommunications company AT are staging a protest against the possible merger with Telecel.
According to the staff, the merger may lead to job losses.
To them, the government that promised to create jobs for the Ghanaian people cannot contribute to the ballooning unemployment rate in the country by merging AT and Telecel.
They have disclosed that instead of the merger, it will be imperative for the government to look at some of the investors who have shown interest in acquiring the company.
Today, Monday, November 24, 2025, the staff, especially at the headquarters of the organization are clad in black and red, drawing the attention of the government to rescind its decision to merge Telecel and AT.
