UHAS Council renews appointments of Vice Chancellor and registrar

The University of Health and Allied Sciences has renewed the appointment of the Vice Chancellor, Professor Lydia Aziato.
This was after a performance evaluation process by two review committees established by the University Council.
The appointment will be effective from August 1, 2026 to July 31, 2030.
Also, the appointment of the School’s Registrar, Ms. Yaa Amankwaa Opuni was also renewed.

RENEWAL OF APPOINTMENTS OF VICE CHANCELLOR AND REGISTRAR OF THE UNIVERSITY OF HEALTH AND ALLIED SCIENCES
The Governing Council wishes to inform the University Community, its stakeholders and the general public that at a Special Meeting held on Friday, November 21, 2025, Council renewed the appointments of the Vice Chancellor, Professor Lydia Aziato and Registrar, Ms. Yaa Amankwaa Opuni for a further term of four years effective August 1, 2026 to July 31, 2030.
The decision follows a thorough performance evaluation process by two review committees established by the University Council. Council congratulates Professor Lydia Aziato and Ms. Yaa Amankwaa Opuni on their reappointment and calls on all faculty, staff, students, alumni and partners to offer them the needed support as they continue to lead the University into its next phase of growth.
