Stellar work – Akufo-Addo commends minority MPs from Northern Regions

Former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo says he has held discussions with Minority MPs from the Northern, North East and Savanna regions, describing their work in Parliament as “stellar” and beneficial to the country.

In a post on his Facebook page sighted by MyNewsGh, Mr. Akufo-Addo announced that a delegation of MPs from the 9th Parliament paid a courtesy call on him at his office in Labone, Accra.

He noted that several members of the group served in his administration and continue to contribute significantly to national development.

He wrote, “A delegation made up of members of the Minority group of the 9th Parliament of Ghana representing the Northern, North East and Savanna regions, many of whom served in my government in various capacities, paid a courtesy call on me yesterday at my office in Labone, Accra.”

According to him, their engagement focused on issues of shared national and party interest. “Our discussion centered on areas of mutual interest and concern to the nation and our party,” he said.

The former president added that he used the meeting to commend the MPs for their performance in the current Parliament.

“I used the opportunity to congratulate and encourage them for their stellar work and representation in Parliament, which has thus far been of immeasurable benefit to their constituencies and the nation,” he stated.
