Nana Konadu Agyemang-Rawlings will be laid to rest today, November 28, 2025.
The former first lady died on October 23, 2025 at the Greater Accra Regional Hospital, known popularly as Ridge Hospital, after a short illness.
Her final funeral rites, which will be state-sponsored, will take place at Black Star Square.
It is expected to draw in persons within the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) and Ghana’s political space.
Chiefs and leaders of various communities and towns that she impacted across Ghana will be represented at the funeral.
The family of the late former first lady has announced that there will be no funeral after the state-sponsored funeral and has urged all persons touched by the work and life of the former first lady to attend the funeral.
A solemn Requiem Mass held on Wednesday, November 26, at the Accra Ridge Church set the tone for the final rites. Tributes and prayers highlighted the deep imprint Nana Konadu left on national life.
