Police arrest two suspects in viral assault video

The Ghana Police Service has arrested two individuals in connection with a viral video showing a woman assaulting a man, sparking public outrage across social media platforms.
The first suspect, Esther Nana Afia Sarfowaa, was apprehended at Subriso in the Ahafo Ano North Constituency of the Ashanti Region. A second suspect, Stephen Ofori, was arrested at Nkawie for his alleged role in the incident. Both are currently in police custody, while authorities continue efforts to locate three other suspects still at large who are believed to have participated in the assault.
According to police sources, the investigation is ongoing, and authorities are reviewing footage from the viral video to identify all individuals involved. The police have called on members of the public with any information about the remaining suspects to come forward.
The viral video, which has generated widespread condemnation, shows the victim being physically assaulted in broad daylight, raising concerns about public safety and the prevalence of violent behavior in communities. Social media users have expressed outrage and demanded swift justice for the victim.
The police have assured that all legal procedures will be followed, and those found guilty will face the full force of the law. Community leaders in the affected areas have also appealed for calm and urged citizens not to take the law into their own hands.
