Lumba’s funeral to be held on December 13—Lawyers

Lawyer for Daddy Lumba’s family head, Fati Ali-Yallah, has confirmed that the date for Daddy Lumba’s funeral remains unchanged.
According to her, Abusuapanin, whom she represents, has not communicated any change in the date.
“The funeral will still hold on December 13 as communicated earlier because Abusuapanin has not communicated that otherwise,” she told the media after the verdict was read by the Kumasi High Court today, November 28, 2025.
Meanwhile, Daddy Lumba’s sister, Ernestina Fosuh, has insisted that the funeral can’t be held on December 13, 2025.
She explains that the date inconveniences some of the children of the late musician, and the funeral must be postponed.
High Court Ruling
The Kumasi High Court has declared that Akosua Serwaa cannot hold herself as the only surviving wife of Daddy Lumba.
According to the court presided over by Her Ladyship Justice Mrs. Dorinda Smith Arthur (PhD), Akosua Serwaa did not prove that she and Lumba were in a civil marriage.
In tye 74-page judgment, the Judge indicated that what existed between Akosua Serwaa and Daddy Lumba was solely a customary marriage.
The court further ruled that Odo Broni known popularly as Priscilla Ofori is also a legally recognized wife and is entitled to all all rights of a widow.
