Ghanaians want to see someone jailed

Reggie Rockstone says the public is demanding visible action on accountability and wrongdoing. Speaking to Bola Ray on Starr FM monitored by MyNewsGh, he stated that the national mood reflects impatience with slow justice processes.

When asked what “action” citizens are expecting from government, Rockstone replied, “Somebody needs to get banged up in jail.”

He clarified that the sentiment is not his personal wish but a reflection of what he hears from ordinary Ghanaians. “You’re asking me the pulse. Sure, I am picking that up — they want to see some heads roll. Something got to happen,” he added.

According to him, the public feels government identifies wrongdoing but fails to match words with consequences. “You say you know who’s doing wrong? Well, punish somebody,” Rockstone told Bola Ray.

While acknowledging that legal processes take time, he insisted there must be urgency; “If I had my own way, they should speed it up. Fast track it.”

Rockstone also commented on President Mahama’s rapport with citizens. He said the former president’s strength is his emotional and cultural connection with the public.

“He’s loved by the people… the connectivity is really strong,” he noted, praising Mahama’s Pan-African tone and referencing his recent UN speech.
