Former Akwatia MP Ama Sey rallies support for Bawumia as NPP’s 2028 Flagbearer

Former Member of Parliament(MP)  for Akwatia, Hon. Ama Sey, has declared her unwavering support for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, describing him as the only candidate capable of securing victory for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the 2028 general elections.

Addressing party members and polling station executives, Ama Sey described Dr. Bawumia as a “grassroots person” whose popularity and connection with ordinary Ghanaians make him the most suitable choice to lead the party.

“When we vote, we vote for the man the people want, and he is popular. We need Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia,” she stressed. She urged polling station agents not to “change their hands” and risk producing a candidate she believes would be less acceptable to the electorate.

According to her, denying the party the chance to present its strongest candidate would eventually affect the welfare of ordinary families. “We should not deprive ourselves of the best, or else our families will be the ones to suffer,” she cautioned.

Ama Sey praised Dr. Bawumia’s qualities, describing him as humble, polite, courteous, and competent. She expressed confidence in his ability to transform both the NPP and Ghana if given the mandate.

“We are currently suffering because we do not know our stand,” she said, adding that the country would have been experiencing better living conditions if Dr. Bawumia had been elected. “Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia will not disappoint.”

The former legislator reaffirmed her full commitment to Dr. Bawumia’s presidential bid and appealed to the people of Akwatia, and the broader NPP fraternity, to rally behind him for what she described as the needed change in 2028.
