OSP aided Ofori-Atta to run away

Private legal practitioner Martin Kpebu has alleged that the Office of the Special Prosecutor aided the former finance minister to leave Ghana.
According to him, the OSP has the powers of the police and could have stopped Ofori Atta from travelling; however, he failed to do that and left him to go because of the relationship he has with the family.
“OSP is also a police institution. A policeman sees a suspect running and can’t shout for help? So far from his own confession, he has aided a suspect to run away, so that alone makes his position untenable. It is not just one suspect, the most valuable suspect, a man you have five cases against; you see him fleeing, and you couldn’t arrest him, so what is left?”
Kpebu indicated that he has lost trust in the office of the Special Prosecutor since he heard that OSP saw Ofori Atta leave and could not blow the whistle for the people of Ghana to support him in arresting the former minister.
He insisted that charging Ken Ofori-Atta with causing financial loss is a gamble and fits into the suspicion that it is deliberate to allow his former client and friend to go scot-free.
Martin Kpebu indicated that his fight for the removal of Kissi Agyebeng is without malice indicating that it is a fight for Ghana.
