Jean misbehaved; she didn’t care about court actions

Presidential Staffer Nana Yaa Jantuah has criticized Electoral Commission Chairperson Jean Mensa over what she describes as persistent disregard for concerns raised by political parties during her tenure.

Yaa Jantuah argued that the EC under Mensa has shown a pattern of indifference toward electoral stakeholders.

“If you talk about misbehaviour, she misbehaved; Jean did not do well,” she said on the JoyNews AM Show.

“You can take a case to court; Jean doesn’t care.” According to her, political parties consistently raised questions about election-related matters, yet their concerns were ignored.

“Issues that we as political parties are not happy about, we will take them to court, and Jean doesn’t even care,” she noted. “We want to have a discussion with her on matters pertaining to elections; she doesn’t care.”

Jantuah maintained that her critique was rooted in facts rather than malice. “It’s not that I’m bringing her down, but that is the truth,” she stressed.

She further referenced dissatisfaction within the governing party. “There were times that even the NPP in IPAC were not happy with her,” she said, pointing to what she described as a wider credibility challenge.
