Inflation falls to 6.3% for the eleventh straight month

Government Statistician Dr. Alhassan Iddrisu says Ghana’s inflation has eased for the eleventh straight month, falling to 6.3% in November 2025 from 8.0% in October, according to the latest Consumer Price Index report.
Presenting the data in Accra, Dr. Iddrisu noted that the sustained decline was anchored by reductions in both food and non-food inflation. Overall prices rose by 0.9% between October and November.
Food inflation dropped sharply to 6.6% from 9.5%, while non-food inflation eased to 6.1% from 6.9%. Inflation in the services sector also declined, settling at 3.8%.
Regionally, the North East Region posted the highest inflation rate at 12.3%, whereas the Savannah Region recorded the lowest at -0.02%.
Inflation for locally produced items slid to 6.8%, down from 8.0% in October, and inflation for goods slowed to 7.3% from 9.3%.
Dr. Iddrisu encouraged businesses to capitalise on the lower inflation environment by improving efficiency, strengthening local supply chains, reducing waste, and passing cost savings on to consumers where feasible.
