GEA fires District Coordinators and more; orders them to vacate post immediately

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Ghana Enterprises Agency (GEA), Margaret Ansei, has issued a stern directive ordering all outgoing District Coordinators whose contracts have expired to immediately cease reporting to work across all Directorates, Regional Offices, and BAC/BRCs.

The directive, issued in a memorandum dated 3rd December 2025, comes after management discovered that some former coordinators were continuing to perform duties despite the expiration of their contracts, raising concerns over workflow disruption and accountability.

Heads of Directorates, Regional Managers, and BAC/BRC Heads have been tasked to enforce the directive, ensure that outgoing coordinators hand over all agency property, and provide comprehensive support to newly recruited coordinators to carry out their duties effectively. National Service personnel who have completed their tenure are also instructed to cease reporting to work immediately.

The CEO warned that any staff failing to comply with the order would face disciplinary action and be held personally liable for non-compliance. “Kindly treat the above directive as very important,” the memorandum emphasises.

The management’s decision highlights the agency’s commitment to maintaining operational efficiency and accountability, ensuring that only active and properly appointed staff occupy official positions.
