My house is full of ‘Mmoa Sem — Boris B CEO says all his children are headed into animal business

The Chief Executive Officer CEO) of Boris B, Dr Boris Baidoo, has revealed that his household is deeply rooted in animal-related ventures, joking that his home is so full of “mmoa sem” (animal matters) that he may one day label it “Mmoa Villa.”

Speaking on Angel FM, the business leader shared that all his children are pursuing paths connected to animal farming and agribusiness.

“One of his sons is studying Business Finance at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), while his daughter is reading Veterinary Medicine,” he added.

He mentioned that although one of his children has expressed interest in becoming a lawyer, he believes the child may eventually find a way into animal rearing, or, as he put it humorously, end up defending animals in court.

The CEO explained that his decision to steer his children toward commercial animal farming is deliberate and strategic. For him, succession planning is a critical element of any serious business.

He noted that many businesses in Ghana have collapsed after their founders passed on because there was no clear plan or capable person to continue the work. Without proper succession, he said, years of effort and legacy often fade away.

“I am training my children to take over from me,” he emphasised, adding that his approach is meant to serve as an example to other business owners.

He encouraged parents who run enterprises in various sectors to intentionally prepare their children as successors to continue their work, so that when they are no longer around, their businesses and legacies will not die with them.
