Police arrest three over viral video of toddler fed alcohol in Kade

Police have arrested three suspects in connection with a disturbing viral video showing a two-year-old child being fed with an alcoholic beverage at Kade in the Eastern Region.

In a press release issued by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) and dated December 20, 2025, the Police confirmed that the arrests followed intelligence-led operations carried out by the Cyber Vetting and Enforcement Team.

“The Ghana Police Service has arrested three suspects in connection with a viral video showing a two-year-old child being given an alcoholic beverage at Kade in the Eastern Region,” the statement said.

The suspects were identified as Tawiah Precious, also known as T’ Moni, aged 18; Emmanuel Dadzie, known as Shapiro, aged 24; and Stephen Amoako, aged 22, who is the father of the child. According to the Police, the arrests were made on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at Okumah, a suburb of Kade.

“The suspects were arrested following sustained intelligence-led operations,” the CID noted.

The Police further disclosed that the child has been rescued and placed under protection.

“The two-year-old victim has been rescued and handed over to the Domestic Violence and Victim Support Unit at Asamankese for protection, pending reunification with the mother,” the statement added.

All three suspects are currently in custody and are expected to be arraigned before court. The Police also revealed that efforts are ongoing to arrest two additional suspects who are currently on the run.

“Efforts are underway to locate and arrest two other suspects, Afram Bright, alias Mogabe, and Panyin, who are currently at large,” the release stated.
