A Plus accuses opponents of sabotaging GC-SEZ Project

Gomoa Central MP Kwame has accused unnamed individuals of actively undermining the the Gomoa Central Special Economic Zone (GC-SEZ) project.
In a statement shared on Facebook, the MP said certain actors were working behind the scenes to derail progress. “Some people who have achieved nothing for years will feel threatened and humiliated, and they will fight you,” he stated in a post sighted by MyNewsGh.
He argued that repeated attempts to frustrate the project were driven by fear and envy. “Envy has blinded them. Fear has confused them. They think if they frustrate the project, they can frustrate my destiny,” he wrote.
A Plus maintained that the district and the country would eventually prevail despite opposition. “Let them talk. Let them plot. Let them gather. We will still rise,” he said, insisting that the GC-SEZ was crucial for jobs, industry growth and local development.
He quoted the Speaker of Parliament’s earlier caution regarding the project: “Don’t kill this one,” adding that “as usual, they didn’t listen.”
The MP reiterated that he would not engage detractors. “We will not snap. We will not fight like we did some years ago. We will not lose focus,” he wrote. He concluded that the GC-SEZ would continue as planned, saying; “You can kill a person, but you can never kill an idea.”
