A presidential jet is a necessity, not a luxury – Comfort Doyoe

Ghanaian politician Comfort Doyoe, has reiterated her call for government to prioritize the purchase of a new presidential jet, insisting that Ghana must stop politicizing the issue and face reality.
The First Deputy Majority Whip stressed that a functioning and reliable presidential aircraft is not a matter of extravagance but of necessity for a sovereign state.
“If we truly mean business, then we must invest in a new presidential jet, not a used one. Certain tools and equipment are essential for the proper functioning of any government, and this is one of them,” she said on Starr FM.
She further emphasized that the debate should not be clouded by partisan interests but guided by the national interest.
“A functioning, reliable presidential aircraft is not a luxury; it’s a necessity for a sovereign state. Let’s put the politics aside and do what’s right for the country,” Doyoe added.
