A revolution is coming — Media personality JB warns of youth uprising if Mahama fails to tackle galamsey

Ghanaian media personality JB, co-host of Onua Maakye, used a high-profile appearance on KSM’s programme to deliver a blunt rebuke of Ghana’s leadership, warning that continued inaction on corruption, illegal mining (galamsey) and institutional rot could push the nation to the brink.
Opening his segment with a pointed critique of the galamsey crisis, JB accused senior officials, including, he said, people who have benefited from the illicit trade, of lacking the will to stop it.
“Any officer you see at the galamsey site with a gun means that officer is hungry and is going to look for money,” he told host Kwaku Sintim-Misa, arguing that enforcement is undermined by personal gain.
JB suggested the political stakes are rising fast. Quoting the national anthem’s call to youth, he warned; “When the youth begin to rise up… a revolution is coming very soon. It will come if our leaders continue to fail us.”
He named the previous administration’s failures and said he did not want to see current leadership repeat those mistakes; “Nadu failed miserably… We cannot watch John Romani Mahama fail.”
