A sensible man should ask, ‘how much is the Tyre?

Nollywood actress and entrepreneur Nkechi Blessing has opened up about her frustrations with what she calls the “bare minimum energy” some men now bring to relationships.

The actress narrated a recent experience with a man she had been talking to in the United Kingdom, describing his reaction to her minor accident as a major red flag in a video sighted by MyNewsGh on Twitter.

According to her, she had stepped out to buy shawarma when “someone hits my car and my tyre got busted.”

She explained that the incident forced her to pull over as she figured out how to fix it. She also noted that her two back tyres were already due for replacement, so it was the perfect time to change them.

When the man checked up the next day, Nkcehi said she informed him of the incident:
I’m like, oh, sorry. I had a minor accident… my tyre got bad and I need to get brand new two tyres for my car.

However, his response was disappointing. “Oh, sorry about that, babe. Hope you were not hurt,” he said — and nothing more.

Nkechi stressed that a man hoping to date a woman should offer help where appropriate; “As a man wey dey try talk to girl, what are you supposed to do? How much is the tyre? Let me buy for you.

She emphasised that she wasn’t asking out of need. “Not like I don’t get money to buy my tyre… but it’s about the thought.

Her point, she said, is simple: effort matters. “Right now I want to be treated right, like a princess.
