Ablakwa encourages teachers posted to rural communities in North Tongu with laptops

Member of Parliament for North Tongu, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, as part of efforts to encourage teachers posted to remote areas in his constituency, has donated laptops to 36 teachers to aid their work.
In a post shared via social media announcing this, the Member of Parliament said he intends to improve on the scheme, which has been an annual ritual to encourage teachers to accept postings especially to his constituency.
He intends continue capacity building, secure scholarships for these teachers and also create an award scheme so that the teachers can be retained in order to improve quality outcomes.
The Member of Parliament who made this known in a post shared via social media said “The tradition continues in my beloved North Tongu.
Teachers who accept postings to rural communities in my beloved constituency receive laptops from the MP to show our appreciation and to make them feel welcomed.
36 teachers are benefiting under this latest round.
I shall be scaling up other teacher-friendly policies such as continuous capacity building, scholarships and award schemes so we can retain teachers, motivate them and ultimately improve quality outcomes.”
