Abronye refuses to appear before NPP disciplinary committee

Kwame Baffoe Abronye aka Abronye has hit back at the New Patriotic Party (NPP) leadership following reports of a disciplinary summons allegedly issued by the party’s General Secretary, Justin Kodua Frimpong.

In a letter dated June 25, 2025, Abronye insisted he has not received any official invitation from the party and warned that he would not honour any such summons.

“I must state that I have not received any official communication from the party inviting me to any disciplinary committee,” he wrote.

He further described the supposed disciplinary process as illegitimate, stating:

.“If the letter circulating on social media is anything to go by, I must state on record that I will not appear before any Kangaroo Disciplinary Committee.”

Abronye, the outspoken Bono Regional Chairman, vowed not to be silenced.

“I, Kwame Baffoe Abronye, cannot be intimidated to keep quiet in the party. I will continue to speak my mind on all issues within the party.

“I am willing to sacrifice everything for the right thing to be done in the party—even if it means losing my position.”

He also urged his supporters to remain calm and steadfast:

“This too shall pass.”

In a pointed closing remark, Abronye advised the General Secretary to shift his focus:

“I will advise the general secretary to focus on regaining the lost glory of the party and stop engaging in unnecessary matters.”
