Abronye Remanded for 7 days by Accra Court

Kwame Baffoe, popularly known as Abronye DC, has reportedly been remanded for seven days.

The Bono Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) was arrested on Monday, September 8, by the Ghana Police Service for what authorities described as “offensive conduct conducive to the breach of public peace.”

Since then, he has remained in custody as prosecutors prepare their case.

On Friday, an Accra Circuit Court explained that the remand would give investigators adequate time to dig deeper into the matter. The court further directed that Abronye be brought back before it on September 26, 2025.

Although the specific charges remain unclear, the case has sparked widespread public interest, largely because of Abronye’s fiery reputation and political stature.
