Ada MP reveals helicopter exploded mid-air

New details have emerged about the infamous August 6 helicopter disaster which occurred at Adansi Afuokrom in the Ashanti Region of Ghana
According to Comfort Doyoe Cudjoe-Ghansah, Member of Parliament for Ada and Deputy Majority Chief Whip, the helicopter didn’t simply crash—it exploded in mid-air, turning the scene into a devastating aftermath of scattered wreckage and burnt remains.
Speaking on Accra-based Okay FM, Mrs. Cudjoe-Ghansah shared chilling details of the incident. She said,
“The helicopter did not crash; it exploded in the air before it fell to the ground. So all the people were burnt even before it landed on the ground. The parts of the helicopter were scattered all over the site, and the bodies were also scattered and burning.”
The Ada MP further highlighted the significance of the recovery of the helicopter’s black box. She stated,
“We thank God that the black box has been found. The government must disclose the content of the black box to the public. We are all interested partners, and we want to know what caused the incident.”
Comfort Cudjoe-Ghansah expressed deep sympathies to the families who lost their loved ones in the catastrophe, acknowledging the profound grief the tragedy has caused across the nation.
Her revelations challenge earlier assumptions that the helicopter simply crashed, emphasizing that the mid-air explosion made the incident far more devastating.
