Ghanaians deserve to know the truth about these planes – Hon Kennedy Osei

Chairman of Parliament’s Roads and Transport Committee, Hon. Kennedy Nyarko Osei, has vowed to push for answers over the controversial aircraft that landed in Ghana and later departed for Spain.

In a post shared on his Facebook page, the outspoken MP stressed that the Committee will demand full disclosure from the Minister of Transport over the two mysterious flights — an air ambulance and a private jet — that raised eyebrows when they stayed in Ghana for days before departing for Gran Canaria.

According to Kennedy Nyarko Osei, the Committee has outlined over a dozen tough questions for the Minister to answer. “We want to know the exact manifest of passengers, purpose of their travel, and whether their flight plans changed mid-air,” he stressed.

The MP further questioned why a private jet had to be used to transport spare parts and whether the parts were declared in the cargo manifest.

“Couldn’t they have gotten some of the parts in Ghana?” he asked, adding that Ghanaians deserve to know who authorized the maintenance works, where it happened, and whether aviation procedures were properly followed.

His comments come in the wake of allegations by MP John Ntim Fordjour, who suspects the planes might have been involved in drug trafficking or money laundering.
