Member of Parliament for Bawku Central, Mahama Ayariga, has condemned the killing of Mohammed Seidu Akugri in Bolgatanga in the Upper East Region.
Mohammed Seidu Akugri, who was the District Director of the National Health Insurance Authority in Bongo, was attacked at Nagode near Bolga and was killed.
After he was killed, his attackers were said to have burned his body.
A statement by the MP who doubles as the majority leader urged the people of Bawku to be calm and focus on the ongoing efforts by Otumfuo Osei Tutu II in resolving the conflict.
He used the opportunity to call on the security agencies to investigate and bring the perpetrators of the heinous crime to book.
