Akosua Serwaa’s lawyer ‘roasts’ Daddy Lumba’s family Head Tupac

Legal counsel for Maame Akosua Serwaa, lawyer William Kusi, has expressed strong dissatisfaction with the court ruling that recognised both women involved in the ongoing dispute as wives of the late highlife legend, Daddy Lumba.
Speaking on the matter, Lawyer Kusi said he disagreed with the court’s decision and rejected claims that the marriage certificate presented by his client was fabricated. According to him, the legitimacy of the marriage between Daddy Lumba and Maame Akosua Serwaa has never been in doubt.
He further took issue with comments made by the Abusuapayin (family head), Kofi Owusu alias Tupac, whom he accused of misrepresenting facts surrounding the certificate. Lawyer Kusi insisted that the claim that the certificate was manufactured was unfounded and unfair.
“It is widely known that Lumba and Maame Akosua Serwaa were married, so to suggest that her certificate was manufactured is unacceptable,” he said.
The lawyer also blamed the family head for contributing to the current tensions, alleging that attempts were made to organise the late musician’s funeral without adequate consultation with key relatives.
“He has played a major role in escalating this matter by attempting to organise the funeral without involving close family members,” lawyer Kusi added.
