Always consider my proven track record of innovative thinking— Bawumia to NPP Delegates

Former Vice President of Ghana, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, has urged delegates of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to consider his track record as they prepare to elect a flagbearer for the party.
According to him, he has a proven track record of innovative thinking and care for the ordinary Ghanaian, and that must be paramount when the party goes to the polls to choose a leader.
Dr Mahamudu Bawumia made this known in a social media post after rounding up his campaign activities in the Ashanti Region.
He reiterated his stance of being the most prepared and winnable candidate the NPP can present in the 2028 elections.
He said “I rounded off an insightful three days of engaging with our Constituency Executives, Regional Council of Elders and other stakeholders in the Ashanti Region on Friday as I seek the mandate of the Party for the 2028 elections. I emphasized the compelling reasons for which I should be retained by our Party, including my proven track record of innovative thinking and care for the ordinary Ghanaian. While reaffirming my commitment to a united party, I called on all delegates to cast their votes on January 31, 2026 for the most Prepared, Formidable and Winnable candidate: Dr Mahamudu Bawumia”.
The New Patriotic Party (NPP) will go to the polls on January 31, 2025 to elect a flagbearer for the 2028 elections.
The party’s decision for an early primary is borne out of the need to douse the tension in the political party.
