Ambulance service breaks silence on viral Enyiresi clash video

The National Ambulance Service (NAS) has dismissed circulating videos and reports suggesting its crew clashed with members of the public at the Enyiresi Government Hospital.
In a statement, NAS management described the claims as “misleading and fabricated,” urging the public to disregard them.
The incident reportedly occurred on the night of Thursday, July 31, 2025, during the transfer of a critically ill 17-year-old girl from the Atiwa West District Hospital. According to NAS, the ambulance team arrived at 6:31 p.m. but was told there were no available beds.
While the patient remained on oxygen and under monitoring in the ambulance, family members pushed for her to be taken to the Koforidua Regional Hospital. The Service said its staff remained professional throughout.
“A misunderstanding occurred during the transfer, but the viral videos distort the truth,” the statement clarified.
NAS urged the public and media to verify information before sharing, warning that false reports damage trust in essential emergency services.
The Service reaffirmed its commitment to professional, life-saving care nationwide.
