As President, IMF will become irrelevant to our national discourse

Flagbearer hopeful Kennedy Agyapong has shared his vision for the Ghanaian economy under his leadership.
Unlike other regimes that have resorted to the International Monetary Fund for a bailout, he intends to build a resilient economy.
He says under his leadership, the IMF will become irrelevant to the national conversation in Ghana.
Kennedy Agyapong, who made this known in a post shared via X, indicated that leaders whose main concern is how to negotiate with the IMF are failed leaders and must not be given any opportunity at the helm of affairs.
His tweet read, “You want to lead Ghana, yet your main concern is who can negotiate best with the IMF? Let me be clear: If your vision for Ghana starts with a trip to the IMF, you have already failed. My vision is to build an economy so self-reliant and powerful that the IMF becomes irrelevant to our national conversation”.
Kennedy Agyapong is seeking to lead the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the 2028 elections.
He is optimistic that the party’s delegates will vote to make him the flagbearer of the 2028 election while Ghanaians make him the president of the country.
Kennedy Agyapong believes that job creation will solve Ghana’s problems, as unemployment has become a worrying feature of the country.
