Ashaiman NDC Chairman Shaddad Jallo dies after sudden illness

Shaddad Umar Jallo, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Chairman for Ashaiman and a member of the party’s National Zongo Caucus Coordinating Team, has died.
According to reports, Jallo suddenly took ill on the afternoon of Saturday, June 14, 2025, and passed away shortly after at East Legon.
While an official cause of death has not yet been released, family sources believe it may be linked to high blood pressure.
Jallo was in his second term as constituency chairman and was widely respected for his grassroots leadership and strategic influence during the NDC’s 2024 campaign.
His passing is seen as a major blow to the party, particularly in the Ashaiman stronghold and within the Zongo political network.
