‘Ashawo’ kingpin declared wanted for rubbing employee’s private part with powdered pepper

Officials of the Ghana Immigration in Wassa Akropong in the Wassa Amenfi East Municipality have launched a manhunt for a notorious sex trade kingpin who allegedly subjected one of her workers to a cruel punishment by rubbing powdered pepper into her private parts.
The disturbing incident occurred at a notable small-scale mining community, Wassa Asikuma, MyNewsGh.com has established.
According to reports on Asona Fm, a locally based radio station, the victim, a Nigerian woman, was brought into Ghana about three months ago by her madam to engage in commercial sex work.
She was required to make daily sales of GH₵200. However, when she informed her boss that she could no longer continue the job, an enraged boss with the support of other commercial sex workers, stripped her naked, and forcefully applied the pepper directly into her private part leaving her screaming for hel.
Immigration officers from Wassa Akropong who were tipped off about the incident rushed to the scene to rescue the victim, but the suspect managed to flee and is currently on the run.
An eyewitness who sheltered the victim narrated the harrowing scene in an interview with Asona News host, Agya monitored by MyNewsGh.com. “I heard the noise and rushed out. They were beating her and had stripped her. I took her into my house and locked the door. They tried to force their way in to drag her out, but I resisted,” she recounted.
The eyewitness said the victim was in severe pain. “Her private part, nose, and ears had been sprayed with pepper. Together with my sister, we applied shea butter and powder to ease her pain,” she explained.
She added that the madam later stormed her house, threatening to recover every cedi the victim owed her. “She said I should stay out of it and warned that the girl must pay back all the money she invested in her,” the woman said.
She revealed that she personally contacted an immigration officer for help. “An officer spoke to me on the phone and assured me they would come.” Later, immigration officers arrived at my house and arrested some people,” she noted.
