Member of the Kwabena Agyepong campaign team, Ofosu Asamoah, has dismissed rumours suggesting that the presidential hopeful had failed to pay the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) development fee required for candidates ahead of the November 2025 primaries.
Speaking to reporters after the balloting exercise at the party’s headquarters in Accra, Ofosu Asamoah said Kwabena Agyepong’s team had met all requirements to participate in the process and therefore had no issues with the party.
“When it comes to numbers, it’s just a means of identifying where your candidate is,” he explained. “All numbers have always had their own slogan.
“So, being number five, we are going to be at the bottom of the ballot. And Aseo has always been that of the NPP.
“Coming to power in 2001 under President Kufuor, it was Asieho that brought us to power. So, when you are now Asieho, you are selling quadrature powers — Asieho, Asieho.
