Asiedu Nketiah warns against division in NDC during Thank You tour

National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, has urged party members to put aside personal interests and divisions to support President John Dramani Mahama as he delivers on the party’s promises to Ghanaians.
Addressing members of the party during his thank-you tour at Abotakyi in the Akuapem North Constituency of the Eastern Region on Thursday, September 18, Asiedu Nketiah warned that disunity could undermine the NDC’s credibility.
“In what way can we ensure the party is not put to shame? We will be ashamed if we are unable to fulfill our promises,” he said.
“Fortunately, we have a good president who has already begun delivering on those promises.”
He emphasized the need for collective backing, urging members to rally firmly behind President Mahama.
“What remains is for us to be united as a party and throw our weight behind him so he can complete the task,” he added.
Asiedu Nketiah also cautioned against infighting, stressing that any divisions would harm the party as a whole.
“If we fail to do that—if we start fighting and creating division simply because we didn’t get what we wanted—then when things go wrong, all of us will be affected,” he warned.
