Asiedu Nketia’s Son Booted Out of ‘Juicy’ MIIF, Now at Jubilee Hse

Dr. Kwaku Asiedu Nketia, the Acting Deputy CEO of the Minerals Income Investment Fund (MIIF) and son of NDC National Chairman Johnson Asiedu Nketia, has been quietly moved out of the Fund amid reports of internal clashes with the CEO, MyNewsGh.com has been told.
Although he has not formally resigned, reliable sources indicate that Dr. Asiedu Nketia has been reassigned to the Jubilee House, the seat of government. The move is said to have followed a series of disagreements with the relatively unknown CEO, one Justina Nelson over operational control and strategy.Â
Sources say the disputes are linked to emerging political power plays ahead of the 2028 elections.
Dr. Asiedu Nketia’s initial appointment by President John Dramani Mahama on January 18, 2025, was seen as a key step in strengthening MIIF’s management team.Â
His new posting at the presidency, however, has fueled speculation about shifting alliances within government and the ruling party.
MIIF, established to ensure Ghana derives maximum value from its mineral resources, continues to play a strategic role in the country’s resource governance.
It has been embroiled in controversies since the appointment of Justine Nelson whom members of the party say they do not know her or her contributions to their victory in 2024.Â
