Awuku Publishes List of NLA Good Causes

Samuel Awuku has responded to his critics with a formidable list of charitable projects, ranging from high-tech medical interventions to foundational educational support, funded by the NLA Good Causes Foundation under his leadership.
The detailed list under the “Health” pillar included the construction of a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) for the University of Ghana Hospital and the payment of all surgery bills for a 7-week-old baby with Spinal Bifida at the Tamale Teaching Hospital.
It also featured donations to psychiatric hospitals and widespread medical outreach.
In education, Awuku cited the construction of a Three-Unit Classroom Block in Akyem Dwenase, a Smart Laboratory for the Borstal Correctional Institute, and the provision of scholarships for “brilliant but needy students.”
The scope extended to youth and sports development, with support for teams like Real Tamale United and Hasaacas Ladies, and arts and culture, with donations to festivals like Hogbetsotso and Fetu Afahye.
The publication of this comprehensive list served as Awuku’s primary evidence to counter the allegations, showcasing a wide range of beneficiaries from infants to queen mothers.
