Banky W earns Master’s degree from Georgetown University

Nigerian musician, actor, and politician Banky Wellington — widely known as Banky W — has achieved a significant academic milestone, graduating with a Master’s degree in Policy Management from the prestigious Georgetown University in Washington, D.C.
The multi-talented star shared the news via Instagram, expressing gratitude for the journey and emphasizing how faith played a central role in getting him through.

“Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
It gives us strength for today, and hope for tomorrow,” he wrote, adding that faith fuels the courage to press on, even in the face of challenges.
Banky W’s post included a carousel of stylish graduation photos, with him proudly donning his academic regalia.

Born Olubankole Wellington, Banky W is a man of many hats. He first rose to fame as a R&B singer, captivating fans with hits like “Yes/No,” and “Strong Ting.”
He is also the founder of EME (Empire Mates Entertainment), the label that helped launch Wizkid’s career.

In recent years, he ventured into acting, starring in popular Nollywood titles such as The Wedding Party, and has also been active in Nigerian politics.
