Boakye Agyarko calls on NPP to reassess Thank You Tour and prevent further damage

Boakye Agyarko, a prominent figure in the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has expressed concerns over the direction of the party’s ongoing Thank You Tour, which was initially intended to reignite hope and strengthen ties with supporters.
According to him, the tour, instead of fostering unity, is descending into internal discord, blame-shifting, and growing strife.
Agyarko, in a public statement, described the current state of the tour as a “regrettable turn of events” that threatens to harm the very foundation of the NPP.
He emphasized that the tour’s failure to unite the grassroots and rejuvenate the party’s spirit is causing considerable damage, not only within the ranks but also to the trust and goodwill the party has worked hard to cultivate with the Ghanaian people.
“This regrettable turn of events threatens to inflict serious collateral damage on the very fabric of our party. More worryingly, it is steadily eroding the goodwill and trust we have worked so hard to cultivate among the Ghanaian people,” Agyarko said in his statement.
With the situation growing increasingly tense, Agyarko called for urgent action from the NPP leadership to reassess the tour’s direction.
He warned that the party was on a potential “collision course” and that it was time to “apply the brakes” to prevent further disintegration.
In his appeal, Agyarko stressed the need for a carefully recalibrated approach, one that would focus on genuine reconciliation, solidarity, and purposeful engagement.
He urged the leadership to ensure that the tour’s mission, and by extension the NPP’s goals, would be accomplished in a manner that reflects the unity, dignity, and forward-looking spirit of the party’s proud legacy.
Agyarko’s call for course correction signals an urgent need for reflection and renewal within the NPP, as it strives to maintain its unity and reconnect with the people it serves.
