Brain Hill International School Opens New Gbawe Campus

Parents in the Gbawe community and surrounding areas have welcomed the commissioning of the new Brain Hill International School (BHIS) Gbawe Campus, a state-of-the-art facility designed to deliver world-class British education to children from early years through secondary level.
The colourful ceremony, held on Sunday, August 10, 2025, drew a large gathering of parents, community leaders, and education stakeholders. In attendance were the members of Parliament for the area, officials from the Ghana Education Service, including the Director of Education, and members of the BHIS Board. The school’s Chief Executive Officer, Mrs. Mary Anane Awuku led the commissioning together with fellow board members, pledging the institution’s commitment to academic excellence and holistic child development.
A School for All Ages
The Gbawe campus is open to learners from 3 months to 15 years, with structured pathways from Preschool to Primary and Secondary levels. The Preschool department will adopt the Pearson Edexcel curriculum, while Primary and Secondary classes will follow the Cambridge Curriculum, offering students a seamless and internationally recognized education.

The school offers extended operating hours from 6 AM to 8 PM, along with five healthy and balanced daily meals: breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks. Speaking at the commissioning, the Member of Parliament, for the constituency, commended the management of BHIS for investing in quality education and expanding access to modern facilities in the community. The Director of Education echoed this sentiment, highlighting the school’s alignment with Ghana’s broader educational goals.
Mrs. Mary Anane Awuku, CEO of Brain Hill International School, said the new campus reflects the school’s mission of raising confident, globally minded learners. “We believe every child deserves an environment where they can excel academically, socially, and emotionally. The Gbawe campus is a continuation of that vision,” she said.
The director of the Gbawe campus, Nana Effah Opinamang III, also added that the establishment of Brain Hill International School in the area, would lead to the community and its environs, witnessing a remarkable educational transformation, leading to future global recognition for the community.
