Member of Parliament(MP) for the Chiana-Paga Constituency Nikyema Billa Alamzy has stated that education remains the key to unlocking a better future, urging students from his constituency to strive for excellence in their educational pursuits.
The National Democratic Congress (NDC) MP was speaking yesterday[ Friday October 3, 2025) at a ceremony at the premises of the Kassena-Nankana West Assembly, where financial support was extended to dozens of students to ease their financial burden.
“Education remains the key to unlocking a better future. Make good use of this support and strive for excellence,” he admonished the beneficiaries of the educational support present.
A total of 169 tertiary students from the Chiana-Paga Constituency benefited from the financial support with each receiving a thousand Cedis.
“It is out of the MP’s Common Fund that we are using to support you. We are giving ₵169,000 as partial support and we hope it transitions into full support in the future,” the MP explained.
He promised to invest more in education, especially infrastructure in the constituency to improve upon educational outcomes.
Present at the ceremony was the District Chief Executive of Kassena-Nankana West, NDC constituency executives and other dignitaries.
